Toddlers and kids gets bored every 15 minutes. their time-span on any one activity is usually not more than 10-15 minutes.
And after every 15 minutes, we need to hunt down for new ideas, or Pinterest (as in my case) to search for no-preparation activities.
You might find this Ultimate Craft Supply Check-list useful.
Here I am presenting a compiled list of quick, easy, no-preparation, 15-minute craft activities for toddlers and young kids, because I feel your pain mommy!
- PAPER PLATE CRAFTS
I have stacked paper plates and they are always a savior for a quick-fix craft. A cute paper plate OWL mask made in 15-minutes.
A full video of my 3-year old making his Paper Plate Owl Mask is up on my YouTube Channel Mom Learning With Baby and can be viewed here.
Some more fun and interesting Paper Plate Crafts are here.
Paper plates are the most easiest and quick to make along with giving scope for variety and creativity and great for teaching about alphabets, animals etc.. You might also like to try a Paper Plate Elephant.
2. POM POM CRAFTS
We just love the colorful pom poms. These can be helpful in refining fine motor skills as well. As I give my toddler a clothespin to pick these pom poms.
These personalized alphabets can be beautiful decor for kid’s room.. and such a creative way to get familiar with alphabets along with practising some serious motor and fine skills.
More interesting pom pom summer activity is making Felt Ice creams
UP FOR SOME FUN SCIENCE EXPERIMENT??
Then next one is for you

It is a very easy and soothing science experiment to explain little ones reaction between milk and dish soap. It is amazing to see the color explosions. See the video on youtube channel
4. CARDBOARD CRAFTS
In a house with kid(s), cereal boxes, toy boxes are found in abundance. So making use of these, we make excellent quick craft and set up some activity. Best part, there is no heart break when these crafts break ,.. serious issue right!! And bonus is you get to teach them to Recycle and Reuse.

Clay-doh is great for refining fine motor and sensory skills. And gives way to creativity. There is no limit to imagination and enables kids to mould their ideas. Few of our creation are here.
6. MOSAIC ART
A great way to work on motor and sensory skills is by sticking bits and pieces of colored and different textured papers to form shapes, termed as Mosaic Art.
We made boat with wrapping papers we got in our birthday presents.. recycle 😉
A detail post and ideas on Mosaic Crafts are here.
7. TISSUE ROLL CRAFTS
I have become a hoarder of Tissue rolls once I started indulging into crafting with my toddler.
This Octopus made of tissue roll is colored by my toddler.

8. POINTILISM RAINBOW
The idea of using a q-tip or cotton swab dipped in water/poster colors is beneficial in refining fine motor skills of fingers, hand-eye co-ordination and color recognition. Absolutely easy to follow Rainbow with Pointilism.
Any type of object or scene can be created with pointilism technique.. and it looks unique and different than the regular form of coloring.
9. SALT ART
It is a very calming activity to see color running in both directions over salt art. Very easy to follow and minimal requirements, full video is here.

GOT NO CRAFT SUPPLY
Don’t worry mommy !! We got the solution for that too.
